There are several ways to share video podcasts.
and other projects containing films or videos. You can send a project,
containing both video and audio in "iDVD" and then burn it to a DVD disc. Viewers
who will watch your movie on DVD can use markers
chapters in your project to move to different parts of your film. URL
and URL names will not appear in the movie on DVD.

How to send a movie to iDVD

includes the video and audio track that you created in GarageBand.
The audio track of the video is also included in the project, unless you turned off the sound

Types of discs that can be burned

Windows Player provides the ability to burn three types of discs: audio CDs, data CDs, and data DVDs.

The type of disc used depends on the content to be copied (for example, only music or music, videos and images), the amount of material to be copied (for example, one album or ten), and the type of device for subsequent playback of the disc (for example, computer or car CD player).

This type is best for creating your own music discs that can be played in your car or home stereo.

  • Content: only music
  • Capacity: up to 80 minutes
  • Playback devices: Almost all CD players, including home and car stereo systems and computers.

Data CD

This is a great option if you have a lot of music and a car CD player, it plays Windows Media Audio (WMA) files (a type of music file that is mainly used in the player’s library). Using this type of disk is also convenient to back up multimedia files.

  • Content: music, pictures and videos
  • Capacity: approximately 700 megabytes (MB) or about 8 hours of music
  • Playback devices: Computers and some CD and DVD players. The device must support the types of files that are added to the disc, such as WMA, MP3, JPEG or Windows Media Video (WMV).

Data DVD

Due to the large capacity, a disk of this type can be used for the same purpose as a data CD, if there are too many files for one data CD.

  • Content: music, pictures and videos
  • Capacity: About 4.7 gigabytes (GB) or about 54 hours of music
  • Playback devices: computers and some DVD players. The device must support the file types attached to the disc, such as WMA, MP3, JPEG or WMV.

Windows OS Writers

Below are the tools needed to get started.

  • A CD or DVD burner (also called a CD or DVD burner).
  • Almost all modern computers are equipped with a CD recorder, with which you can burn data CDs and audio CDs. Some computers are equipped with a combined CD and DVD burner, and can burn audio CDs, data CDs, and data DVDs. To find out which recorder is installed on the computer, see the accompanying documentation for the computer.
  • Blank DVD or CD.
  • The type of blank disk you need depends on the type of recorder you have and the type of disk you want to create.

For audio cds it is better to use the CD-R format, since such discs are relatively inexpensive and compatible with a large number of playback devices.

To record data CDs CD-R format meets the needs of most users. However, to erase the contents of the disc and burn new files, you must select the CD-RW format. Keep in mind that blank CD-RW discs are usually more expensive than blank CD-R discs, and not all CD players can play CD-RW discs.

To record Data DVDs You should choose DVD-R or DVD + R if you need to burn files to a disc only once. To be able to erase the contents of the disc later and add new files to it, you should select the DVD-RW or DVD + RW format. Remember that some DVD burners support all of these types of discs, while others only support some of them. For more information, see the accompanying documentation for your computer.

Burn audio cd

To create a regular music CD that can be played on almost all CD players, select Audio CD.

At CD player audio recording windows player creates temporary copies of WMA and MP3 files in the recording list, converts these copies to another format (PCM), and then saves the converted copies to disk.

To burn a CD, follow these steps:

  1. Open your windows player.
  2. If the player is already open and in playback mode, click the Switch to library button in the upper right corner of the player.
  3. In the player library, click the tab Record, click the Recording options button and select Audio cd.
  4. Insert a blank CD-R to a CD burner.
    • If a dialog box appears Autostartclose it.
    • If more than one CD-ROM drive is installed on your computer, select the drive in the navigation area.
  5. If necessary, click the Clear List button to remove all items from the previous record list.
  6. In the player’s library, navigate to the items that you want to burn to the audio CD. For example, you can search for a specific album, individual songs, or a playlist.

To create a recording list, drag items from the details pane (the area in the center of the player’s library) to the list area (the area located to the right of the player’s library).

If you want to change the order of the songs in the recording list, drag the song up or down the list.

To remove a song from the recording list, right-click the song and select Remove from list.

Tip: Removing an item from the recording list does not remove it from the player’s library or computer.

If the number of songs in the recording list exceeds the number, it is placed on an audio CD, the elements that remain can be recorded on another blank CD.

Note: Since the Windows player does not support the CD-Text standard, the recorded audio CDs do not contain the multimedia available in the source files in WMA or MP3 format. This means that if you burn an audio CD containing songs from several albums and try to play the CD on another computer, the names of the songs on the disk will not.

Burn a data CD or DVD

To create a disc that will contain several hours of music (and not just 80 minutes, as on an audio CD), select “Data CD or DVD”. You can also add image and video files to data discs.

Unlike burning an audio CD, Windows Player does not convert the files to a different format before saving them to a data disc. Since the files remain in a compressed state, you can place more items on the disk, there is no loss due to format conversion, and all multimedia data in the files is saved.

However burning a data CD or DVD has one major drawback compared to audio CDs. The CD or DVD players used to play such discs must support the types of files recorded on them.

For example, if all the songs are recorded in WMA format, and the car CD player only supports MP3 format, you will need to use another program to convert the files to MP3 format, add MP3 files to the player’s library, and then use the player to burn them to a CD data disc.

  1. Open your windows player.
  2. If the player is already open and in playback mode, click the Switch to library button in the upper right corner of the player.
  3. In the player library, click the tab Record, click the Recording Options button and select CD or Data DVD.
  4. Insert a blank disc into your CD or DVD burner.
    • If a dialog box appears Autostartclose it.
    • If your computer has multiple CD or DVD drives, select the drive in the navigation area.
  5. If necessary, click the Clear List button to remove all items from the previous record list.
  6. In the player’s library, navigate to the items that you want to copy to disk. For example, you can search for a specific album, individual songs from different albums, or a previously created list.

To create a recording list, drag items from the details pane (the area in the center of the player’s library) to the list area (the area located to the right of the player’s library).

If you want to change the position of an item in the recording list, drag the item in the list up or down.

To remove an item from the entry list, right-click and select Remove from list.

Tip: Removing an item from the recording list does not remove it from the player’s library or computer.

Note: The data DVD is different from the DVD video disc (movie DVD, for example, which can be rented).
