We recently showed you how to customize a table design in PowerPoint so that you can change the background color and borders. Today we show you how to add a title to a PowerPoint table. You can specify table header in PowerPoint by checking the header check box in the Design menu, but below you can learn how to combine the cells that will be used for the header or footer in the table design.
Select the cells you want to use for the title, and then right-click to display the pop-up menu. Click Merge cells. You can learn how to insert a table in PowerPoint, here.
After that, you can format the title using a different font or align the text to the center, as in the screenshot.
You can add a footnote to the same table using a similar approach. Instead of cells for the header, select the cells in the footnote, and then right-click to select Merge Cells.
Then you can customize the last line.
This way you can easily customize the header or footer. Alternatively, note that some styles in the quick style menu can be easily configured in the same way; in fact, you can select the header and footer, the first column type, the last column, a ribbon column, or a general row style.
